The parable of the sower illustrates that after investigating the truth found in God’s Word, people fall into one of four groups.  Each group represented in the parable responded differently depending upon the condition of their heart.The-Holy-Bible

Mark 4:15 (NKJV)
And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown.  When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

The first group (those by the wayside where God’s Word was sown) heard God’s Word, but Satan came immediately and took away the truth that was sown in their hearts.  Satan is the god of this evil world and he is one of the reasons people are not successful.  One of the ways he (the devil) attempts to keep people from being successful is by blinding their minds so that they cannot receive the truth from God’s Word.  The people in the first group cannot program their success mechanism because they are unable to embrace the success principles contained in God’s Master Success Book.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)
Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them.  They don’t understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

The mind-set of the world is predominantly negative.  The negative downward pull of life requires no effort to get sucked into; it is almost automatic.  You can learn how to succeed by finding out what God, the Author of success, tells you to do in order to be successful.  You are provided with the principles that will cause you to prosper and be successful in life. (See Joshua 1:8)  It is your responsibility whether or not you succeed or fail in life.  You are the one who makes your way prosperous and successful; it is your responsibility!  [mp3-jplayer list=”hidden” play=”false” pos=”left”]

It takes effort to learn how to speak God’s Word, but it takes very little effort to gossip, speak ill of, and criticize others.  It takes a disciplined effort to set aside time each day to study God’s Word, but it takes very little effort to sit in front of a television.  It takes effort to act on God’s Word in the face of contradictory circumstances, but it takes very little effort to simply accept what the five physical senses are telling you.  It takes self-discipline to respond to life, but it takes very little effort to react to life.  It takes no effort to fail, just do what the majority of people are doing and the negative downward pull of life will hold you in bondage to a life of mediocrity.  Satan is the god of this evil world, and mediocrity is the best he has to offer.

Those in group one put little or no effort into pursuing the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book, and they receive little or no benefit from God’s Word.
