Hebrews 3:1 (NKJV)
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.
Jesus is alive at the right hand of God as your High Priest. A High Priest goes before God on behalf of the people. Jesus went before God on your behalf to secure an eternal redemption for you (See Hebrews 9:11-12). Now He waits to confirm that redemption in your life through the words you speak.
You can have confidence that the Word of God will work for you because Jesus is the High Priest of your confession – the words you say. If you will put God’s Word in your heart and speak it out of your mouth, God will perform His Word on your behalf. Jesus is living today to confirm the words you say when you speak God’s Word. You can have confidence in the words you say because every time you say something that agrees with the Word of God, Jesus brings your words before the Father so He can make them good in your life. God, your heavenly Father, is faithful to do what He has promised in His Word.
When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, He became the High Priest of your positive confession of God’s Word. Wow – get excited about that!
