John 16:33 (NKJV)
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Nobody is free from problems and challenges.  Just because you are a child of God does not mean you will never have any problems.  One of the keys to effectively dealing with any problem or challenge is to look at it as an opportunity.

Jesus told the truth when He said, “In this world you will have tribulation (trouble).”  But He immediately added a word of encouragement, “But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  So in light of what Jesus said, we should look at every challenge as an opportunity and we should look at every problem with the mindset of “What’s the solution here?”

Everybody has problems and challenges, which cause stress.  If challenges and problems, and the stress they produce, are not properly managed then the two emotions that will rear their ugly heads are fear and anxiety.

In order to effectively prepare for a storm (such as a hurricane), we have to know how to turn fear into faith and anxiety into peace.  Then we can implement our plan during and after the storm (hurricane).

The question is: “How do we deal with these emotions (fear and anxiety) effectively?” The way we deal with them effectively is to replace them with their opposites, which are faith and peace.

I talk more about how to replace fear and anxiety with faith and peace on our CD entitled, “How to Deal with the Storms of Life.”  This CD contains two presentations.  Each presentation will give you 4 steps that will empower you to replace fear with faith and anxiety with peace.  This CD will help you to view every challenge as an opportunity and every problem with a solution mindset.  This CD is a Beyond Positive Thinking favorite! You can do what you want to do.  You can be anything you want to be.  You can go anywhere from where you are… if you are willing to replace fear with faith and anxiety with peace.  If you will look at every challenge as an opportunity, and if you will look at every problem with a solution mindset, then with the apostle Paul, you will be able to say, “I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength.”
