Philippians 4:13 (AMP)
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
At the beginning of each year many people adopt a theme in the form of a slogan for that particular year. So today I want to encourage you to adopt a theme, not only for this year, but for every year for the rest of your life. That theme in the form of a slogan is: “Can’t is a Four Letter Word.”
Many times we focus on what we can’t do rather than what we can do. Many times we focus on what is not going right in our lives instead of focusing on what is going right in our lives. If you want to change your focus, you are going to have to change the way you think from a “can’t” mentality to a “can” mentality.
Someone once said: “In my vocabulary, there is no such word as “can’t,” because I recognize that my abilities are given to me by God to do what needs to be done.” One person who knew that “can’t” was a four letter word was the apostle Paul. The apostle Paul gave us the victory anthem of the New Testament when He said: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The apostle Paul knew that if he was going to do what God had called him to do, he would have to focus on what God could do through him, not on what he could not do by himself.
Here is the key to overcoming the challenges of life: Always remember to focus on what God can do through you, not on what you can’t do by yourself. Whether you can or can’t, the decision is up to you.
Have an Ephesians 3:20 New Year and don’t settle for less!
