Knowing God includes experiencing agape love, which is the DNA of God.

agape1 John 4:8 (NKJV)
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Notice the phrase “God is love.” Love is God’s nature. Love is not solely something God does; it is something He is. Love is the divine nature of God; therefore, love is the DNA of God. Love is the DNA of God.

In its most basic definition, your DNA is your unique nature. Your DNA identifies you as you. God’s unique nature, the thing that identifies Him as God, is love. That is why love is the DNA of God.

The word “love” (used in the phrase “God is love”) is the Greek word “agape.” Agape is the characteristic word of Christianity. Agape love includes both the attitude and will of God. Agape love is proactive and unconditional. The will of God includes God’s proactive love; the attitude of God includes God’s unconditional love. Agape love is proactive (God’s will) and unconditional (God’s attitude).

God loved us proactively by sending Jesus, and because Jesus is alive today, God continues to love us unconditionally. God’s love is proactive in the fact that we can’t earn God’s love; God’s love is unconditional in the fact that we don’t deserve God’s love. God’s undeserved and unearned love toward us is called God’s grace, and God’s grace is summed up in the finished work of Christ, which says that everything you need for the rest of your life has already been provided. The grace of God blesses us with God’s favor, and God’s favor is the result of His DNA – agape love.

You can know God personally by experiencing His DNA, which is agape love. Our 6-CD series, The DNA of God, includes a transformational tool that will help you improve your relationships and attract more success into your life. Click here to order
