Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Notice the last phrase: “Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.” Wow! To live by faith means to accept something as real fact even when it is not revealed to your five senses. Living by faith is an attitude that believes it has something before the five senses give confirmation. As believers living by faith, we can be confident that the fulfillment of God’s promises is in fact a reality in our lives before we experience those promises in the realm of our five senses.
[mp3-jplayer list=”hidden” play=”false” pos=”right”]Just because something is not revealed to the five physical senses does not mean it doesn’t exist. Faith makes invisible things real. Faith is the proof that what you cannot see will become a reality in your life. Faith doesn’t wait for the five physical senses to confirm the Word of God in your life because faith knows that God’s promises are trustworthy.
God’s promises include all the benefits of your salvation. Salvation is so much more than just going to heaven when you die, but that is what religion has reduced it to. The Greek word for salvation is “soteria.” Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible defines it as including healing and deliverance. Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words defines salvation this way: Inclusively, to sum up all the blessings bestowed by God on men in Christ through the Holy Spirit.
God’s promises include salvation, healing, and deliverance. Salvation, healing, and deliverance belong to you in Christ. The role of the Holy Spirit is to manifest all the benefits of your salvation, including your healing and deliverance. The Holy Spirit is also one of God’s promises, and we receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14). The promise of God (the Holy Spirit) manifests the promises of God (all the benefits of our salvation).
The secret to receiving God’s promise (the Holy Spirit) and God’s promises (including salvation, healing, and deliverance) is to adopt an attitude of living by faith in the truth of God’s Word. You must see yourself the way God sees you – saved, healed, and delivered!
