Deuteronomy 30:14 (NKJV)
But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
Notice the last five words in our Success Scripture this week: “that you may do it.” The goal of believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth is putting God’s Word into practice. The purpose of the heart and mouth connection is action!
Words activate your faith. Here’s how: You say it in order to believe it, and only when you truly believe it, will you act on it. Therefore, saying it and believing it are the first steps to experiencing it. This is true of fear as much as it is of faith; it works just a well in the negative as it does in the positive. The “it” in your life is what is most important to you. The “it” in your life comes down to the choice between what the Word of God says about your life and what you are experiencing in the sense realm in the form of your circumstances.
Sweeping statement now: Your circumstances will never change until you change the way you talk to them and until you change what you believe about them. Do you believe that your circumstances are temporary or permanent…and are your words confirming what you believe? This is what will motivate you to put God’s Word into practice and this is what will inspire you to act on God’s Word. Faith that receives acts on God’s Word – faith that receives puts God’s Word into practice!
