Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
You decide whether you are going to grow a crop of success or a crop of failure with the words that come out of your mouth. The kind of fruit growing in your life is determined by the words you speak. The fruit you are growing with your words produces the results you are experiencing in your life.
Whether you speak words of life or words of death, you will reap a harvest from your words just as a farmer enjoys the crops he planted. The farmer can only reap from what he plants. You can only reap from what you plant with your words.
Speaking your heart’s desire would be analogous to speaking words of life. Speaking the evidence of your five senses when it contradicts your heart’s desire would be analogous to speaking words of death. Speaking your God-given dream would be analogous to speaking words of life. Speaking the evidence of your five senses when it contradicts your God-given dream would be analogous to speaking words of death.
Your tongue has in it the power of life and death. Make sure your words are taking you in the right direction. Continue to believe and confess your heart’s desire. Continue to believe and confess your God-given dream.
