Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
The Greek word translated “workmanship” is the word poiema, from which we get the English word poem. It literally means “a work of art.” God created you, His work of art, with the potential to accomplish the work He gave you to do. Your work, the path you are to take, is the realization of your God-given dream. God made provision for you to be able to realize your God-given dream, and that provision was made before you were placed on this earth. You receive the blessing of God into your life as you fulfill the plan He has for you on this earth.
You are a loved and cherished one-of-a-kind creation. You are special, unique, and irreplaceable. God has specific plans for you that nobody else can accomplish. Only you can complete the work that has been assigned to you. You were created not just to exist, but to live a fulfilled and significant life. God prearranged and made available everything that is necessary for you to live the good life. The good works God planned ahead of time for you to accomplish include the realization of your God-given dream.
You can agree with what God says about you by saying the following affirmation first thing in the morning and last things at night before you go to bed.
Affirmation:
I am God’s workmanship—His work of art. I am born again—my spirit has been re-created in Christ Jesus. I am living out my salvation by doing the good works that God planned for me to do. I am fulfilling God’s purpose by living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for me to live.
