God’s purpose for your life includes becoming the leader God created you to be.

Genesis 1:26 (AMP)
God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.

The phrase “complete authority” refers to leadership.  Complete authority carries the intimation of successful and effective leadership.  If you are exercising complete authority, then you are taking responsibility for your life according to God’s will.  Leadership in the Kingdom of God equates to managing your life and influencing people in the proper way.  Here’s how that translates into God’s will for you: God’s will is for you to become a successful and effective leader.

Question: What are we to exercise our leadership over?  Answer: God created you and me to exercise leadership over all the earth.  God said, “Let mankind have complete authority over all the earth.”  God created people to rule and reign over all the earth.  He created us to be rulers in charge of our physical environments.  This means that every human being is responsible to God for how they function while they are on the earth.  Every person will give an account of their life to the One who created them.

I want you to notice that it does not say we are supposed to exercise complete authority over people.  God never intended for us to dominate each other.  God did not give us complete authority over what people do or how people act.  In other words, God never intended leadership to involve controlling other people.

God created mankind to be in control of his environment and circumstances, not to be in control over people.  Unfortunately, because of Adam’s sin, history is replete with people attempting to control other people.  Leadership in the Kingdom of God inspires people; it does not intimidate and manipulate them.  One of the ways God expresses His love for people is by giving them free will.  Our job as leaders in the Kingdom of God is not to try and influence someone’s will to fit our agenda, but to help that person embrace God’s will for their life.  God created people to know Him, and then live out His purpose for their lives.

Mark your calendars for October 13th!  I will be teaching more on the subject of Kingdom Leadership at the upcoming Global Embassy Annual Convention.
