The challenge to living a life of faith comes when negative circumstances attempt to rob you of your joy. However, you are admonished to live by faith and not by your circumstances.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
We live by faith, not by sight.
Living by faith means you are to be governed by your belief in God and His promises as outlined in God’s Master Success Book. This is what energizes you – living by faith in God and His Word – not continually worrying about what’s missing in your life, and not being fearful about what’s going on in the sense realm in the form of your circumstances. Living by faith means you respond to life with the Word of God instead of reacting to your circumstances.
The word “sight” refers to the 5 physical senses; therefore, living by faith means we shouldn’t conduct ourselves solely by what our 5 senses indicate. The statement, “We live by faith, not by sight” means we shouldn’t govern ourselves solely according to the sense realm. The sense realm includes what we see and how we feel; therefore, we are to live by faith and not solely by what we see or how we feel. Govern your life by faith in God’s Word and not solely by what you see or how you feel.
Living by faith is living independently of circumstances. Living by faith is speaking God’s Word regardless of what you see and how you feel. Rather than relying solely on your feelings and circumstances, follow the example that was provided for you; live by faith!
Release your faith by speaking joyful words in the face of your negative circumstances and you will see God’s power manifested in your life. God’s power manifests when you release your faith by speaking God’s Word.
Say the following affirmation 3 times a day for the next 7 days:
“I live by faith, not solely by what I see or how I feel. I respond to life with the Word of God instead of always reacting to my circumstances. I see myself and others the way God does: saved, healed and delivered!”
