Jesus performed more miracles than just those recorded in the Gospels.

John 20:30-31 (NKJV)believe-in-miracles
30 The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book.
31 But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

The numerous miracles Jesus performed confirm that He is the Son of God.  The fact that Jesus rose from the dead proves that He is the Messiah.  In the book of Acts, God continued to confirm that Jesus was alive by performing miracles through His disciples.  If you are a disciple of Jesus today, then you qualify as someone through whom God can perform miracles.  The power of God can perform miracles through you!

The purpose of miracles is twofold.  First, so people will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God.  Second, so that people will have life by the power of His name.

Notice the words “believe” and “life” (in verse 31).  In John’s Gospel, the word believe is used close to 100 times and the word life is used roughly 35 times.  Those who believe in Jesus have eternal life.  Believing leads to experiencing.  As you continue to believe in the finished work of Christ, the power of God is manifested more and more in your life.  As you continue to believe that everything you need for the rest of your life has already been provided, your relationship with Jesus will deepen as you experience more and more of the power of God.
