John 10:10 (NKJV)
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Many think of abundant living only in terms of material possessions. If I have a big house, nice car(s), an extensive wardrobe, plenty of money to spend, etc. then I’m living an abundant life. However, let’s refine this materialistic mindset by examining what Jesus said in our Success Scripture this week.
Jesus said He came to the earth so the human race could have life and have it more abundantly. In other words, Jesus intimated that He came to give the human race abundant life. The word life is the Greek word zoe and it can be defined as “life as God has it.” Jesus said He came so that you and I could have life as God has it. If you have the same kind of life that God has, you can live like Jesus did, ruling over your circumstances and environment. If you have the same kind of life that God has, you can experience abundant living!
Abundant life includes the divine nature. Abundant life is the very life and nature of God; the same life and nature Jesus expressed that enabled and empowered Him to perform the miracles He did and help the people He encountered. If you will express the divine nature the same way Jesus did, you can help people the same way Jesus did!
The way you can know if you are living the abundant life is by simply identifying whether or not you are expressing the divine nature. The divine nature is life as God has it and expressing the divine nature equates to abundant living. Abundant living is the result of expressing the divine nature!
