Being successful includes exercising complete authority in four areas.

Genesis 1:26 (AMP)
God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and LET THEM HAVE COMPLETE AUTHORITY…OVER ALL OF THE EARTH….
(emphasis added)

First, exercising complete authority means you are taking full responsibility for your life according to God’s will.  You have total responsibility for the life you create here on the earth.  Exercising your authority is what gives you the ability to respond to life instead of just reacting to your circumstances all the time.  The number one pursuit of every human being is to control their circumstances and rule over their environment.  God created you in His image and likeness to have dominion over all the earth.  Dominion includes complete authority.  Exercising complete authority means you take 100% responsibility for your circumstances and your life.

Second, exercising complete authority means you are a manager, not an owner of God’s resources, including planet earth.  You are not a co-owner of the earth with God, but rather, you are a steward who has the responsibility to manage God’s resources faithfully.  Faithfulness is a characteristic of the divine nature.  Success may be the primary objective in the world, but faithfulness is the primary objective in the Kingdom of God.  Citizens in the Kingdom of God should be faithful to live according to God’s will and God’s will includes being faithful with your time, talent and treasure.  God’s will includes being faithful with your time, talent and treasure.

Third, exercising complete authority refers to expressing the divine nature.  Exercising complete authority carries the intimation that mankind was created to establish the Kingdom of God on the earth and influence it with the culture of heaven.  God’s original plan was for mankind to exercise complete authority by expressing the divine nature.  Exercising complete authority is a manifestation of the divine nature.  God’s will is that the divine nature would flow through you automatically.

Fourth, exercising complete authority carries the intimation of successful and effective leadership.  Exercising complete authority includes becoming the leader God created you to be.  Leadership in the Kingdom of God equates to managing your life well and influencing people in the proper way.  Leadership is the true essence of all human beings.  However, the paradox of leadership in the Kingdom of God is that every human being was created to be a leader, but not everyone becomes the leader God created them to be.  Regardless of whether you manifest it or not, God’s purpose for your life includes becoming the leader God created you to be.  Leadership is a manifestation of the divine nature and great leadership happens when the divine nature flows through people automatically.
