Good ground people do 3 things: They hear the word, they accept it, and then they bear fruit. These are the 3 steps that will guarantee your success in life. This is how you prepare your heart for success. This is how you positively program your success mechanism. This is how you experience effortless change and enjoy seatless victory!
Here are the 3 steps that will produce an abundant harvest, some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some even a hundred times as much.
1. Hear the Word.
Hearing the Word refers to hearing God’s Word. Hearing the Word includes listening to the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book. Hearing the Word means putting yourself in a position to hear God’s Word and listen to the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book.
One of the reasons it is so important to hear God’s Word is because hearing is the basis for building faith. This is confirmed in Romans 10:17, which states that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The faith to receive (in each area of your life) starts by hearing the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book that apply to each specific area. For example, faith to receive healing comes from hearing what God’s Word says about healing and health. Faith to receive finances comes from hearing what God’s Word says about money and material possessions. Faith to receive salvation comes from hearing what God’s Word says about receiving eternal life.
Hearing (and meditating on what you heard) is the basis for building your faith. Your faith to receive will increase as you hear the truth of God’s Word (and then meditate on what you’ve heard). Your faith to receive will increase as you listen to the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book (and then think about how to put them into practice).
2. Accept it.
This refers to accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life. Accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life equates to putting God’s Word first in your life. Accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life includes finding out what God’s Master Success Book says about your finances, your health, your relationships, and then applying it by living your life that way.
Accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life equates to taking responsibility for your life, and taking responsibility for your life equates to exercising your authority. The real truth is that there is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you live, and that person is you. If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that happens in your life. You start taking responsibility for your life when you give up blaming and complaining. Instead of always reacting to life by blaming and complaining, you start responding to life with thanksgiving – you focus on the blessing, not on what’s missing in your life. Reacting is negative; responding is positive. Taking responsibility for your life means responding to life with the Word of God instead of always reacting to your circumstances.
Taking responsibility for your life (responding to life) means giving up all your excuses, all your victim stories, all the reasons why you can’t, and all the reasons why you haven’t up until now. Some people are always making excuses for their shortcomings, and that is why success alludes them. I heard one person say, “99% of all failure comes from people who have a habit of making excuses.” One well known motivational speaker gave the antidote when he said, “Study anything for one hour per day for five years and you will become an expert on that topic.” In other words, you don’t have to settle for your present limitations; you can break through the current barriers that are preventing you from enjoying the success you want.
3. Bear fruit.
Bearing fruit refers to practicing the Word of God. Bearing fruit has to do with taking action. This means putting the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book into practice in your life.
Bearing fruit is analogous to producing results. The purpose of hearing God’s Word and accepting God’s Word is so you can put God’s Word into practice. Practicing God’s Word includes thinking, speaking and doing, and thinking, speaking and doing are all included when it comes to producing results in your life.
Those in group four have learned the secret to effortless change and sweatless victory because they have positively programmed their success mechanism!
