Are you enjoying all the benefits of your salvation?

sozoRomans 10:13 (NKJV)
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

The word “saved” is the Greek word “sozo”. The definition from Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible is as follows:

Sozo (Strong’s #4982): to save, deliver or protect – heal, preserve, do well, be (make) whole.

Using the complete definition of the word “saved,” we could read Romans 10:13 this way:

  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be delivered.
  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be protected.
  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be healed.
  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be preserved.
  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be prospered (do well).
  • For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be made whole.

Here’s what we can conclude from these definitions: Salvation includes all the blessings of God. If you are saved, if you are born again, if your spirit has been re-created, if you have received eternal life – then all the blessings of God already belong to you!

Here’s the challenge: Everything God has provided, by grace, is already a reality in the spiritual realm. But whether or not it ever manifests in the physical realm depends on your ability to receive – not on God’s giving. Salvation is a one-time thing, but manifesting the benefits of your salvation is a lifetime thing. Healing is a one-time thing; living in divine health is a lifetime thing. Deliverance is a one-time thing; living free from addictions is a lifetime thing. Once you are saved, once you are born again, once your spirit has been re-created, once you have received eternal life, the rest of your Christian life is learning how to manifest in the physical realm all the blessings of God that already exist in the spiritual realm.

Sweeping statement now: As long as you can live without manifesting the benefits of your salvation, you probably will. As long as you can live without healing, you probably will. As long as you can live without deliverance, you probably will. However, if you will become a diligent seeker of your salvation benefits, you will see the manifestation of all the benefits of your salvation. When you put God’s Word into practice, you will see the power of God working in your life so you can experience all the benefits of your salvation.
