Joshua 1:8b (NIV)
Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Many times in the Bible, the word prosperity is used interchangeably with the word success. In fact, one of the definitions of prosperity is to have good success. Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible defines prosperity (Strong’s #2137) with the phrases: To help on the road; to succeed in reaching; to succeed in business affairs; to have a prosperous journey. Success is not solely the end result of realizing your God-given dream, but making measurable progress toward it realizing your God-given dream. In other words, success isn’t the end of the journey, but the journey itself.
Prosperity is having enough of God’s resources to realize your God-given dream. Prosperity is not necessarily an amount, but the provision that is received each day as you need it. Success is spending time with God through the process of realizing your God-given dream. Daily fellowship equates to spending time with God, and then taking continual action toward realizing your God-given dream.
