How to Deal with the Storms of Life (James 1)

Description

In Matthew 5:45, Jesus said that God makes the sun rise on the evil and on the good, and He sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  In light of current events here in Florida, another way to say it would be: “Hurricanes cross the path of those who do right and those who do wrong.”  In other words, nobody is exempt from the storms of life.

Everybody encounters challenges in life and everybody faces problems in life.  Challenges and problems tend to produce stress, which is neither good nor bad.  What makes stress good or bad depends on how we deal with it, or how we manage it.  The key to dealing with the storms of life is to look at every challenge as an opportunity and to focus on the solution to every problem.  When you do this effectively, the stress that is produced becomes productive instead of debilitating.
