You can experience more redemptive grace when you believe in your heart that you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

I am the righteousness of God1 Corinthians 1:4 (AMP)
I thank my God at all times for you because of the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which was bestowed on you in Christ Jesus.

When the New Testament defines grace as spiritual blessing, it is talking about being blessed because of Jesus. I’m blessed because the spiritual part of me is in union with Jesus – I’m in Christ. Yes, good things may happen in my life that I choose to call blessings, but as a result of redemptive grace, I am blessed because of Jesus, and as I believe this in my heart, more and more good things show up in my life. It is not that God isn’t giving (i.e. answering my prayer); it is that I am not participating in redemptive grace. I still want God to relate to me through performance and reward – if I’m good, God will answer my prayer; if I’m bad, He probably won’t. This is not the way God is relating to the human race today under the new covenant today!

Redemptive grace is the way God is relating to you today. Redemptive grace says, “I’m not blessed because of what my obedience deserves; I’m blessed because of what Christ’s obedience deserves.” Because you are in union with Jesus, the obedience of Christ gives you the blessing of God.

The subconscious attitude of most Christians is this: I don’t deserve God’s favor, so I will try to earn God’s favor. This attitude opposes redemptive grace operating in your life. Redemptive grace operates in your life through faith righteousness – the fact that you are accepted, approved and blessed by God because of Jesus. Faith righteousness says, “I am accepted, approved and blessed by God because of Jesus.”

Faith righteousness is the key to experiencing the benefits of redemptive grace. Only when I believe in my heart that I’m the righteousness of God in Christ will I experience the benefits of redemptive grace. Only when I believe in my heart that I’m the righteousness of God in Christ will I experience God’s presence and power. Only when I believe in my heart that I’m the righteousness of God in Christ will I experience the promises of God, and only when I believe in my heart that I’m the righteousness of God in Christ will I experience all the benefits of my salvation. You can experience the benefits of God’s redemptive grace when you believe in your heart that you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Redemptive grace operates through faith righteousness. This means that the blessing of God (and everything it produces) will work in your life when you believe in your heart that you are accepted, approved and blessed by God because of Jesus.
