Have you accepted God’s Word as the source of truth for your life yet?

Bible-21 Thessalonians 2:13 (AMP)
And we also [especially] thank God continually for this, that when you received the message of God [which you heard] from us, you welcomed it not as the word of [mere] men, but as it truly is, the Word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe [exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it].

Our Success Scripture this week refers to accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life. Accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life equates to putting God’s Word first in your life. In other words, find out what God’s Word says about your finances, your health, and your relationships, and then apply it by living your life that way.

I want to give you 3 reasons to accept God’s Word as the source of truth for your life:

  1. God’s Word is alive and full of power.

You can be confident that when you act on the principles contained in God’s Master Success Book, they’ll become active, operative, energizing, and effective in your life (Hebrews 4:12, AMP). There is power within the pages of the Bible because those pages contain more than just knowledge and facts; they contain the essence of life itself. Jesus is the reason God’s Word is alive and full of power. Jesus shed His blood and transformed the typed pages of a book called the Holy Bible into a living reality!

  1. God’s Word is eternal.

God created everything in the universe through Jesus Christ (John 1:3). The creative ability that made everything we can see and everything we can’t see is found in Christ (Colossians 1:16). Jesus is the word of power that is upholding and maintaining and propelling the entire universe (Hebrews 1:3, AMP). Jesus Himself even said that His words are more certain than the existence of the entire universe (Matthew 24:35). Jesus rose from the dead and He is alive today seated at the right hand of God. Jesus is the living Word of God!

  1. God’s Word contains God’s will for your life.

I think it’s safe to say that every person has gone through a period in their life when they asked, “What is God’s will for my life?” God’s Word contains God’s will. The Bible reveals the will of the Creator of the universe. Look up the scriptures personally and study them for yourself and you will know what God’s will is for your life. Jesus lived God’s will and you can too!

The first step to accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life is to approach the Bible not as the word of mere men, but as a divinely inspired message from God to you. In other words, receive God’s Word as God speaking directly to you. The second step to accepting God’s Word as the source of truth for your life is to believe that its superhuman power will work for you in your life. In other words, put God’s Word into practice in your life.
